SyncLink - Chrome Extension
Last updated: June 29, 2026
Your saved video library: SyncLink stores your library in Chrome's local extension storage. Library data may include video URLs, titles or custom names, thumbnail URLs, tags, playlists, saved dates, and local library/watch activity used by SyncLink features.
SyncLink does not upload your full library to a SyncLink cloud account. If you uninstall SyncLink, Chrome removes the local extension data, so export your library first if you want a backup.
Activation and access checks: SyncLink may use your purchase email, verification code, browser session token, and SyncLink API calls to confirm access.
Billing: Stripe handles checkout, subscriptions, invoices, and payment details. SyncLink may use your purchase email for activation, support, and purchase recovery.
Original-site requests: Thumbnails and videos may load from their original websites when you view your library. When you save a link, SyncLink may request the page from your browser to read the title, thumbnail, or playable URL.
SyncLink requests the permissions listed in manifest.json:
You can export your library as a JSON backup from SyncLink. The export file contains your saved library data, so store it somewhere you trust. SyncLink does not receive exported files unless you choose to send one to support.
SyncLink keeps extension code bundled with the install package and does not fetch remote extension code. The extension uses Chrome's extension storage, message-sender checks, content security policy controls, import validation, and isolated UI patterns to protect local data inside the browser.
SyncLink is not directed to children under 13. The extension does not create a child profile or ask for a birth date. If a parent or guardian believes a child used their purchase email with SyncLink, contact support.
We may update this policy as SyncLink changes. We will update the date above when we publish a new version.
