Frequently Asked Questions

What websites does SyncLink work with?
SyncLink has one-click saving on YouTube video pages and X posts with videos. Paste any other video URL into your library manually.
What Chrome permissions does SyncLink need?
SyncLink asks for the permissions needed to save supported video links, store your library locally, export your data, support viewer playback fallbacks, and add save buttons on supported sites. Your saved links and library data stay in your browser, and your full collection is not uploaded to a SyncLink cloud account.
How is this different from just bookmarking videos?
SyncLink gives saved video links custom names, tags, playlists, search, and playback when supported. A browser bookmark list does not give you that video-focused library.
Is my collection really private?
SyncLink stores your video library locally in browser storage and does not upload your full collection to a SyncLink cloud account. Activation uses your purchase email to confirm access. If you uninstall SyncLink, Chrome removes the local extension data, so export your library first if you want a backup.
Does SyncLink store actual video files?
No. SyncLink saves video links, titles, and thumbnails, not actual video files. Videos play from their original source, and built-in playback is available when supported.
What if the original video gets deleted?
SyncLink cannot preserve a deleted source video because it does not store video files. You can keep the saved link for reference or remove it from your library.
What happens if I uninstall the extension?
Chrome removes the local extension data. Export your library first if you want a backup, then import that file if you reinstall.
Can I use SyncLink on multiple devices?
Yes. SyncLink works on multiple desktop Chrome browsers, but each browser has its own local collection. Use export/import to move your collection between browsers.
Is there a free trial?
Yes. Try SyncLink free for 7 days. Then $7/month. Cancel anytime.
What if I want a refund?
Email us at [email protected] within 30 days for a full refund.
